Hey there, everyone! I hope those of you who celebrate Thanksgiving had a wonderful time with your chosen friends and family!
Things have been quite busy this week at RDP! Two new Etsy listings have been uploaded: my old Protect Young Black Men/Empower Young Black Women stickers have been reworked and are now available in vinyl form, and my large octopi cross stitch ornaments, up until now only available at live events, now have an Etsy listing of their own. (Remember that those of you who support me on Patreon can get these items for 10-25% off their Etsy price, depending on your tier level!)
By now, you’re probably used to me saying that 10% of proceeds from any of my queer- or racial justice-themed items will be donated to organizations supporting these communities. Well, this year’s organization has finally been chosen!
This year, Rainbow Dust’s proceeds will be going to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project, an organization that “works to guarantee that all people are free to self-determine gender identity and expression, regardless of income or race, and without facing harassment, discrimination or violence.” Their primary focus is on the queer community, people of color, and low-income communities, which unfortunately frequently overlap in the United States. Most of their legal assistance is only available to people living in New York, however they may be able to help guide you to legal assistance in your area.
If you would like to donate to the Sylvia Rivera Law Project on your own, please feel free to make a donation here.
And, of course, if you would like to help support me and my art, please consider buying one of my pieces from my Etsy store here or support me on Patreon here (starting at $1/month).
I hope you all have a wonderful December!
